top ten tuesday is a weekly feature, hosted by that artsy reader girl.
i love making lists a lot, so while i’m not participating in top ten tuseday every week i’ll probably do it from time to time. this week’s topic is backlist books, which is very relevant to me right now. i have so many unread books, so to save money and make my physical tbr shorter i’m going to go on some kind of book buying ban soon and for the foreseeable future. i might do a post on that later.
anyway, here are my top ten backlist books i want to read, choosing only books i already own. they are sorted in order of publication, oldest to newest, not in the order of which i want to read them.
- ASH by malinda lo
- PANTOMIME by laura lam
- WE ARE THE ANTS by shaun david hutchinson
- AND I DARKEN by kiersten white
- WE AWAKEN by calista lynne
- A DARKLY BEATING HEART by lindsay smith
- OF FIRE AND STARS by audrey coulthurst
- THE OTHER F-WORD by natasha friend
- YOU’RE WELCOME, UNIVERSE by whitney gardner
- DAUGHTER OF THE BURNING CITY by amanda foody
i feel like i’ve had these books on my shelves for millennia, and i’m looking forward to reading them all. for some reason i just haven’t gotten around to it yet. as i said, i’m going to go on some kind of book buying ban, i just haven’t worked out the rules yet. my hope is that i’ll read a lot more of the books i already own, and not just buy new ones.
have you read any of these? if so, what did you think? i’m happy for any thought that’ll help me either move a book up or down on the priority list, or even bump it off the list entirely.
